What is “Advancing Leadership 2018”?
“Advancing Leadership 2018” is one of five tracks of SIM Connect Live in Dallas in April, 2018. RLF's track within SIM Connect Live will focus on learning opportunities for RLF grads as well as large group events to network, reunite and reconnect. It is a first-ever opportunity to engage and connect the 4,000+ alumni of all RLF programs over the past two decades – with each other and with leadership trends, issues and challenges.
What will “Advancing Leadership 2018” offer me?
This 2-day track within SIM Connect Live is especially designed for RLF graduates and will include an appealing array of facilitated discussions and breakout opportunities, plus large group events to network, reunite and reconnect. “Advancing Leadership 2018” will certainly be an important opportunity for everyone connected with RLF – graduates, sponsors, Facilitators and RLF support teams – to delve into a broad range of thought-provoking topics and engage in stimulating discussion and debate.
Activities will kick-off with a Welcome Reception on the evening of Wednesday, April 11th. On Thursday, April 12th, a full day of speakers, facilitated discussions and breakout sessions for RLF grads will take place, followed by a special evening event for all SIM Connect Live attendees. On Friday, April 13th, the morning and early afternoon for RLF grads will again feature speakers, facilitated discussions and breakout sessions before the conference adjourns around 2 p.m.
Each learning session during the two-day event will touch on an ethical, moral, or social issue that may impact future leaders. Each session promises to be an excellent learning opportunity facilitated by an RLF Facilitator or an RLF graduate.
“Advancing Leadership 2018” is taking place during “SIM Connect Live” – how are these two events related?
Even as “Advancing Leadership 2018” is underway for all RLF Alumni, SIM’s newly designed conference – titled “SIM Connect Live” – will be taking place simultaneously on another floor of the Dallas hotel. “Advancing Leadership 2018” is one of the five tracks of the “SIM Connect Live” conference, and will include:
· Its own separate space on another floor of the hotel for the majority of activities.
· A dedicated schedule of speakers / breakouts focused on “The Ethical, Moral and Social Implications of Issues Facing Future Leaders.”
· A specific slate of activities designed for each RLF class to reunite as well as large group events to network with graduates from all years – and locations – of RLF program.
REGISTRATION AND COSTS
How do I register?
You can register by clicking this link to the registration process for RLF graduates. If you are a SIM member, please log in before completing your registration. Early in the registration process, you will indicate which of the following groups you belong to:
· RLF Class of 2017
· RLF Alumni (Class of 2016 or earlier)
· RLF Facilitators / Support Teams
What is the cost to attend?
Participants / graduates of 2017 RLF programs will pay no registration fees. RLF alumni who graduated from programs prior to 2017 will pay the registration rate of $495. On January 6, 2018 the registration rate for pre-2017 RLF alumni will increase to $595. On March 17, 2018 the registration rate for pre-2017 RLF alumni will increase to $695.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Payment may be made by check or one of the following credit cards: American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa.
What is included in registration?
The registration fee includes conference attendance; meeting credentials; a Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening; Breakfast on Thursday and Friday; Refreshment Breaks on Thursday and Friday; Lunch on Thursday and Friday; and access to the Thursday evening event (including food & drink) to be held in conjunction with SIM Connect Live.
I don’t know if I’m eligible for a discounted registration rate. How do I find out?
If you are unsure of your registration status, please send an email to RLF Administrator Joanne Jackowiec.
What happens if I need to cancel my registration?
Registration fees are refundable until February 11, 2018 less a $50 processing fee. Refunds requested between February 12 and March 11, 2018 will be charged a $150 processing fee. There will be no refunds after April 5, 2018. There is no charge to make a name change within the same RLF Alumni category.
If I am unable to attend, can I send another representative from my company in my place?
As long as the other representative from your company is an RLF graduate there is no charge to make a name change within the RLF Alumni category. To make such a name change, please send an e-mail to RLF Administrator Joanne Jackowiec.
What is the program agenda?
The latest “Advancing Leadership 2018” schedule is available on the RLF Alumni website. This information is continually updated as program details are confirmed.
Are there special hotel rates for conference attendees?
Yes. Click here to make a reservation at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel at the RLF Alumni conference rate. Reserve early to ensure space is available.
